The AI Tutor uses retrieval-augmented generation on documents the student uploads. Answers include inline source citations that students can click to verify against their own textbook or lecture notes.

Rubric-aware grading: students upload the professor's actual rubric, Scholar Genie scores against it with transparent justification. Perfect as a pre-visit drafting step before a writing-center appointment.
Data isolation & privacy
Per-institution data partitioning is available on pilot. Student uploads are not used to train foundation models. FERPA-aligned handling on request.
Role-appropriate content
Writing Coach outputs scale to High School, Undergraduate, Graduate, and PhD rubrics. Graduate-level “Deep Analysis” mode probes thesis arguability, evidence fit, and counterargument engagement.
Instructor observability
On pilot, opt-in instructor views of a student's coaching history — see the feedback the student received and the revisions they made. Turns AI from a classroom threat into a classroom signal.
